Possible tie-up for the Belgium F-16's.

Post by Albert »

Hi All,

Possible tie-up for the Belgium F-16's.
Those with * are confirmed at KB. The rest of the numbers are a combination of the logs from my site, the scramble database and system the Belgiums seems to be using.

All comment is more then welcome,

Albert

Hi Albert - This is excellent !! I had done a similar exercise and arrived at the same conclusions but it is good to have my data confirmed. There are still some out of sequence HEX codes that are harder to decode :-44EDE6, 44F0C1, 44F19C, 44F1AF and the following rogue codes have also been logged :- 00001F, 00012C, 000021, 35422D, 000017, 35758F, 000148 and 00015E.

I also noted another peculiarity here in Belgium - the BAF Alpha Jets often return to Beauvechain from their base at Cazaux in France for the weekend but they never appear on any logs. Can you think of a reason why this might be?

Hi Andy,

I hope we can find the missing ones too!
About the Alpha Jets: I think they don't use mode-s (yet). Maybe after they received maintenance they will start showing. On the other hand none of the French Fighters are using it, maybe it isn’t necessary to use mode-s in France.
