Hello faxstefa,

thank you for the detailed reports. I got a similar report from skaw. At the moment I cannot reproduce the error. I have two RPis type 2 and 3 and a Win10 Desktop computer runnning V14 without problems.

There are a lot of messages in first seconds, but 45000 in 5 minutes is not a problem.

Did you notice unusual high CPU or memory usage? Typical values (top) for CPU usage on RPi would be between 3 % and 13 % and for Memory around 3,4 %. The CPU rate depends on traffic, so it is proportional to the rate of dump1090.

Hello modesfan,

I tried it on W10 as well. RPI3 signal rebroadcasted on VRS and then via V14 out to your website. Works fine, but causes a lot of data traffic.
Shouldn't be a problem with the cpu/ memory usage. Otherwise it shouldn't work with the W10 sytem as well.

Stefan

Do you mean with W10 the problem (stop after 5 minutes) did not occur?
What do you mean with "causes a lot of traffic"? Modesfiltered, thanks to local filtering, produces very little traffic.
So in your setup the data is from a VRS?

After the problem with V14 on the PI, I tried the program on my W10 server and it worked fine. No stopping after 5 min. Tested it for about 10 hours.

If I send via the W10 server, I have to transfer the data twice via my local network. That causes "a lot of traffic". PI to W10 and W10 to website. Only for this setup I used VRS to rebroadcast the data. Normally this additional step shouldn't be necessary.

At the moment I am back on V4 and sending direct from PI (without VRS).

Regards
Stefan

Hi modesfan,

I'm also having trouble with V14 (see excerpt from the log file below). I have to go back to V4 which was running fine.

Could you please provide V4 on the Rpi section, this would make the installation easier with a "wget" command (wget https://www.live-military-mode-s.eu/Rpi ... eredV4.zip).

Thanks Roy

Hi Roy,
I still have not seen the reported problems. But for all of you who wish to revert to V4 the modesfilteredV4.zip is online.
As a precaution I have reverted standard download to V12 which was the last version before a major change (3 ports).
Regards!

Update: V4 removed, please use actual V19 instead.
