I must say that i've not updated the modes.sh file, i only modify the modes.sh file to address an other modesfiltered.jar file.
Are the V04, V16 and V17 using an other modes.sh file?

Re: Raspberry stop logging at /var/log/modes.log?
Hi jozg,
There are slight changes in start script, but if the program runs, it doesn't make a difference.
I have fixed one array out of bounds bug. Could you please do a test again?

Re: Raspberry stop logging at /var/log/modes.log?
Thanks for the report jozg. Could you please repeat the test with a special option?
stop the running program:
start the program by:
This will enhance logging. Should give a stack trace with a line number or function name.
stop the running program:
Code: Select all
killall java
Code: Select all
java -jar modesfiltered.jar -loginfo > /var/log/modes.log 2>/var/log/modes.log &
Re: Raspberry stop logging at /var/log/modes.log?
Hello modesfan,
I'll get the following error, i think a syntax error?:
sudo java -jar modesfiltered.jar -loginfo > /var/log/modes.log 2>/var/log/modes.log &
[4] 24342
[3] Exit 1 sudo java -jar modesfiltered.jar -loginfo > /var/log/modes.log 2> /var/log/modes.log
-bash: /var/log/modes.log: Permission denied
I also tried without the sudo command.

Jozg, thanks for testing!
Two bugs have been fixed. Since there is no hang up now with actual version I removed download option of V4 and V16.
