Pi disappears after 5 minutes feeding data

Post by MW0JNI »

Hi,

my Piaware receiver seems to stop feeding / disappears from locations online after about 2 minutes. When I have checked the log it seems to be after it does a status message.

I have attached the log below -

pi@piaware:~/modesfiltered$ cat /var/log/modes.log

I then have to stop the service and restart it to get it back. This receiver is feeding everywhere else fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Colin,

thanks for reporting.

I have no idea what the source of your problem is.

Could you please provide additional info on your setup?

Code: Select all

java -version
cat /etc/os-release
free -m -t
Are you using a Virtual Radar Server?

You can use version 4 of Modesfiltered. Just have a look at the following post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3247&start=10#p3957.

Thanks for the reply modesfan.

It is a Piaware 3.5.3 build.
The output of the commands you gave me -

pi@piaware:~$ java -version
java version "1.8.0_65"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_65-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.65-b01, mixed mode)
pi@piaware:~$ cat /etc/os-release
PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie)"
NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux"
VERSION_ID="8"
VERSION="8 (jessie)"
ID=raspbian
ID_LIKE=debian
HOME_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/"
SUPPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianForums"
BUG_REPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianBugs"
pi@piaware:~$ free -m -t
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 434 310 123 5 42 185
-/+ buffers/cache: 81 352
Swap: 0 0 0
Total: 434 310 123
pi@piaware:~$

I use virtual radar server on win 10 machine which connects over the network to the pi with no issues.

I will try version 4 and see if that solves the problem.

Thanks
Colin
