Re: How can I check if Pi is forwarding data?
Hello rdjsb! If you are using a renamed modes.txt then you should see something like "UPDATE statusPI" or "INSERT IGNORE INTO LATLONPI" in the terminal. I recommend to modify line 23 of this file to: java -jar $PROG > /var/log/modes.log & Then the output will be sent to the f...

Re: GMT Settings
To see the map view that I was talking about I click on the small green circle looking like a radar screen at the right hand side of the table. Then I get a new window with GoogleMaps and red plane symbols marking the flight path.Which map view are you writing about? So I can take a look at it.

Re: Help needed to test new reporting tool
Hi all, I forgot to mention two things: First, please check the output (default: /var/log/modes.log) for errors. Second, if you want to forward Piaware MLAT positioning messages, besides following the steps described in the README.TXT you have to configure Piaware to open a port e.g. 31003: sudo pia...

Help needed to test new reporting tool
Hi all, I have reworked my version of software for RaspberryPi (although it also runs on Windows PCs but has no GUI). It is called modesfiltered. I would like to invite all users that are interested (esp. Rongor, bosgnoom and skaw) to test it. http://dfiles.eu/files/n811t5o9y The download site is a ...

Re: GMT Settings
Today I checked markings again. Everything is ok with the reports of my station as it was before. Maybe I have just misevaluated yesterdays data. Sorry for that confusion.

Re: GMT Settings
I don't like the new server based time stamp. I was able to identify the reports of my station on the map view with the version before. Now it doesn't work. The logged time now depends on client load, server load and internet connection. This has strong influence on the data. Albert, which time is d...

Re: GMT Settings
@skaw: Yes you are right. For my location there is also only one page at the moment. I don't know why.

Re: GMT Settings
Hi,
I compared today's report on the website to a local copy of faup1090 output. Again some 30 pages under Germany Current . But it seems to be all correct. It's just a lot of traffic in the air now.

Re: GMT Settings
Hi Albert,
did you test the new feature? There are a lot more rows/pages for Germany today 2016-06-02 around 16:00 several MSGs every single second. 30 pages a day?

Re: altitude and squawk never change
Indeed the GAF162 reported 2016-05-22 05:09:30 looks a bit early compared to the report from Hannover station at 07:11:58. Maybe you saw the plane doing an airfield traffic pattern before it finally turned to the Netherlands? Or you saw the approach and departure whereas the others saw only the latt...
